The Rose, The Knife, And The Gun

There are people who believe that. someone who is in the military cannot be spiritual because they during times of war have to kill people. Well let me tell you a story about that reality of the situation. There once was a person who was so spiritual and he owned a rose, a knife, and a gun. He would show the rose to people, exclaiming "Isn't this rose the most beautiful of all. I have a knife and a gun but they are ugly and I have no use for them, because they are used to kill people, and I am too spiritual to learn how to use them". All the people who was listening to him said, "Yes spiritual people like us don't need to use weapons of war, because we are holy people". Well a war broke out and the rose said to the knife and the gun, "We are doomed because our owner never learned to protect us with you, the knife and the gun". The knife exclaimed, "He is a terrible owner and yes we are doomed." The gun agreed. The invading hordes of the enemy captured the spiritual owner and killed him, then enslaved and tortured the rose, the knife, and the gun forever.
